Review: I purchased this LiteOn LVW-5005 dual format DVD recorder about 2 months ago, to transfer VHS recordings to DVD. I dont know why a couple of users have found it difficult to set-up, it took about 5 mins to get it going ! Plus Points 1. Simple setup
2. Writes/Reads DVD-R/RW and DVD+R/RW standards (and VCD etc)
3. Simple menu options
4. Easy Guider - they could not make this easier !!!
5. Has worked with a load of different disc brands. Imation/Samsung etc.
6. Good picture and sound quality The bad points... 1. No NICAM off TV tuner (not a problem as we record off scart !) To address other points, the fan noise is actually very low, yes it noisier than a VCR, but they dont have fans ! No playback output via the RF output... Please why watch DVD if you dont use the scart output. All in all this is a great buy, its at a good price, simple to use, great picture quality, and supports multiple disc formats... |
