Review: I have been looking for something to allow me to watch downloaded divx and avi files to my tv. I invested in the pinnacle media centre costing £200 from pc world. This is an excellent system yet lacks the facility of watching dvd films wirelessly so I returned it. I wanted something that i could use to watch divx, avi, mpeg 4 and ogm files with subtitles(srt files) without having to decode it as a vcd or dvd. I spent 2 days deciding which player would sort my problem out. The web covers more info on the yamada 6600 than the medion however every place i tried was out of stock so i took the plunge and purchased the medion divx player. This is an excellent machine for £50. I have thrown every format that I can think of to play. divx, avi, ogm, ogg,mp3 and cd r+-r, dvd +r-r. to watch subtitles on this machine, click on the SRT file, press the angle button on the remote and it shows divx subtitle file enable. then click on your avi, and watch. I will be doing some further tests on this system, however I am very happy with my purchase. The machine is slim, silver and looks the part next to my sony surround sound system. If you want to watch a downloaded avi without the hassle of encoding it, then this system is a must. If you have any questions or tests you would like me to carry out before your purchase, please feel free to email me on runge100@hotmail.com I will try to get back to you asap, however please note, I am not associated with Amazon or Medion, and I dont make any commision for this product. Just think this system rocks.... |
