Review: Well, what a super DVD player the Medion MD41059 is- and Multi-Region at that! I got it yesterday and what a nice surprise to find that it came with the scart lead, remote and batteries for the remote.
Plugged it in and hey presto - all is working fine.I put in a copied DVD into the player to see if it could read it and to my surprise it played it perfectly! The sound was great and so was the image. I was expecting a dull picture with interference from the TV but there was none. Since I only played about with it for an hour or so I didn't have chance to try all the features but the 3D sound works along with the zoom and other basic DVD functions. The only little gripe I have with the player is that the remote has to be pointed at the player DIRECTLY and sometimes you have to extend your arm to press a button for the infra-red to operate. Now, this could be the batteries - I haven't put in new ones yet - but it could just be the infra-red itself. For £27.99 you get everything in the box, a 5.1 decoder and multi-region DVD - can you ask for more? Probably, if you're a power-user but for an average Joe like me - this Medion player is just brilliant. Great value for money! Excellent. |
