Review Summary: The Best Looking Game For PS2
Overall Score: 5/5 Overall score - 5Overall score - 5
Review: Mercenaries Playground of Destruction - Many games claim to be free roaming but none provide the real thing better than the GTA series apart from maybe the up and coming 3rd person shooter from LucasArts And Pandemic. Right from the start you are thrown in at the deep end and expected to fend for yourself. Working for a PMC, you are given the choice of three characters including a stealthy Brit, a speedy Swede and a tough American, all with some sort of military training.
With a choice of over 30 weapons and over 30 vehicles to tempt the part of you that wants to create mass carnage and destruction with a range of missles and airstrikes and realistic military weaponry.
The main mission targets are based around a 52 deck of cards as well as some sub missions for opposing factions.
This sandbox 3rd person shooter seems to deliver what it has promised, a playground of destruction.
The ability to destroy anything makes this game the best in the pipeline after the recent success of GTA San Andreas.
Hopefully this brilliant game will follow in its footsteps.
