Review: This Motorola V3 mobile phone is very nice but it does disappoint in certain key areas. Very well designed and lightweight 96grams I think, Ive just bought the black version same as this one (except for the addition of mpeg4), but sprayed black same aircraft grade aliminium casing etc... Small sub back screen, decent enough but the space is there to have a larger one fitted. The Operating system is nice and easy to use, but the user interface design lacks any inspiration and appears like a rather tacky add on, to what is otherwise beautiful peice of design. Surely a design icon in the making. The camera works well, but lacks any real practical use other than using your snaps as wall paper. Allows you to customise the tunes and interface with skins which is a redeeming feature. No 3G phone just a quad band phone, use it anywhere in the world well in 100 countries world wide, which cant be bad? In my opinion, as this is the first mobile phone I've ever bought or owned, I'm mostly dissapointed at the cost £250 (an avarage weeks wage for a phone arggghh) it is over priced and over hyped, sorry motorola this is firstly a fashion item for the 'in crowd or fashionista' and secondly a phone. Perhaps I should have bought the Seimens 65? you know the one the phone camera or camera phone. But however it may just make me fall for its good looks and its basic functions... Would have been happier to have payed £100. |
