Review: The Mustek ScanExress A3 USB Scanner is, in my view, an absolute bargain. It works like a dream with everything I throw at it. It is my sixth and best scanner to date giving excellent image quality everytime. It was easy to intall and gives results that allow me to create "second originals" from oil paintings of trains which are then printed on canvas. A 30" X 40" image can be scanned in six sections then the scans can be stitched together in Photoshop to form one image - the results are truly outstanding. I have also used it to restore old photographs, typescripts, drawings, illustrations, water colour paintings and much more. The images I produce are always first class and I do not believe they could be improved on. As for the 40 second warm up time it's a plus as it gives me the occassional interlude during my work at which point I can reflect on how good the scanner is and what a bargain I've got. If I could, I'd give it at least six stars. My recommendation is to get one now before they have all been sold. |
