Review: I really feel that for the money paid this Mustek ScanExpress A3 USB scanner offers excellent value, it produces very good quality scans, with a little tweaking, I use this scanner for art & photographic requirements.
The scanner MUST be installed via a direct USB port, it will not run from a USB on a hub. Although the software installation is a bit frustrating (you may have to go via "my computer" to execute the program as it can "hang" when loading via "start, run",) when it is all loaded it does work well even via TWAIN in Adobe Photoshop 7 and Paintshop Pro 7 on a Windows ME platform.
Make sure you have a large RAM, (512MB minimum I would recommend) as A3 takes up a lot of memory and you will need space to process your picture after scanning. |
