Review: For an A3 scanner at this price the Mustek ScanExpress A3 USB scanner is unbeatable value, and the scan quality is good. I'm using it with an Intel P4 PC with 512 MB Ram and Windows XP. I use it through Photoshop 7 rather than its own panel. Photoshop 5 (Limited featured Edition) is the included software. I am an artist and animator, so it's great for scanning artwork, large books and 12 field animation paper. I was a bit concerned about it being compatible with Windows XP, as my last scanner was also a Mustek and I had a few problems when I upgraded from Windows 98. But this one worked first time. The only downside is an occasional 40 second warmup time. |
