Review: This NEC e616V phone does everything that you would expect a top of the range £150+ phone to do, you can take video, pictures, play music import and export pictures to computer, download ringtones etc. However there are one or two minor problems: 1. Its pretty big, admittedly most of one side is all screen, and when its folded it easily fits in a pocket, but opened up its a little large 2. You can't put a music track as your ringtone, a bit of a dissapointment as all the preset ringtones are terrible. I can see why they don't let you do this though, as if you can have a real song as your ringtone why would you download the special ringtone version for £2.50 3. WARNING! I'm with 3 network and it is a bit mean - it says its pay as you go, but this isn't strictly true, the smallest voucher you can buy is £15 and once activated you have to use all your credit within 30 days or it gets wiped out. Now for this calibre of phone with £15 free calls (making the phone only £25!) I am planning to use it for 30 days then have it unlocked to use my old Virgin simcard. Now i realise this 30 day thing isn't going to be a problem for heavy users, but i don't use that much. All in all its only £40 on Amazon for an awesome phone. |
