Review: I saw this NEC e616V mobile phone and all of it's features and thought it looked great! I mean, MP3, Video Recordings, Pictures, Sound Recorder etc, all the top features for a top phone... so I thought! There are mutliple problems with this phone that I have experienced since owning! Battery life is terrible! Have to carry an extra battery around with my just to last the day! Freezes and Crashes on you alot! Especially when writing a nice long text and ...... the phone randomly restarts deleting unsaved info! Signal is diabolical... don't expect to make and/or recieve calls just like any other phone... YOU WILL HATE HAVING NO SIGNAL! You will recieve texts late, I have recieved some up to 3 hours late! So this phone is not good for emergencies... simply because 3 is a new company and down have many signal towers around unlike Voda, Orange and other well known companies... The phone is massive! Good features, but the phone is so bricky it would blend in with a house! I shouldn't put this phone down so much since I own it but it has been a hige irriation and I regret buying it, sometimes I'm jealous of my mates with older phones, simply because they can use them freely with no problems! 3 is not the best of companies at the moment, all my other mates on 3 have phone troubles, battery life and signal problems, so they have to be going wrong somewhere, but as all, they will learn from their mistakes, give 3 a year.... 2 at the most and they will be top of their game! By the way.... Top up only comes in £15, £25 and £35 packs, bit pricey!!! You can't use voice and texts in 1 pack either! And they only last 30 days, if you don't use your mins/texts at the end of the month, they will be deleted! £15 = 100 voice mins OR 100 texts £25 = 350 voice mins OR 250 texts £35 = 750 voice mins OR 450 texts Something like that anyway, if your wealthy I would reccommend the £35 a month, 750 mins would suite a heavy phone user very well! Well I would steer away from this phone for communication purporses, but if you just want the MP3, Video, Picture and Storage then go for it... But be wary! |
