Review: I don't really know what I'm doing with photography but I love taking pictures, and I've been so disappointed with the quality of the photos I've got back from compact cameras that I decided to bite the bullet and spend out on a DSLR. I have an old 'real' SLR at home and while I've been able to take fantastic photos outside, I've never got good results indoors with flash. I wanted something that I could play with but that could take nice photos of my new baby without taking him outside! This camera has been brilliant for me. I haven't even started playing with the settings yet but the point-and-shoot settings produce great quality photos. The camera sits in your hand beautifully and feels comfortable, so I don't get any shake, which has been a problem with some of the smaller cameras I've tried. Having said that, I won't be slipping this into my handbag and forgetting about it - its a substantial piece of kit. It's the kind of camera I really feel that a hopeless amateur like myself can get good results from immediately and grow into the arty stuff (if they want to). |
