Review: My reservations about lashing out a large bundle of cash for a camera made me shop around for a long time before I took the plunge. Now I wish I had bought it sooner! The D70s is a joy to use. It is quite heavy, but not unreasonably so, and it is very well balanced with the 18-70 lens fitted. The controls are extensive, but the basics are soon mastered, and then you get the fun of learning all the advanced ones. The quality of the 3000x2008 RAW images is superb, thanks to that great lens - although I am glad I bought the 2Gb high speed CF card. It gives me 330+ images at full resolution. I did worry about the built-in Speedlight, but it is brilliant, and the range of settings is impressive. What else can I say about this Nikon D70S digital SLR camera? Buy the camera, read the manual, have fun. |
