Review: The Nokia 9210i PDA phone was the undisputed king for a long time, technology has moved on but it still is uniquely useful. It is not GPRS (but thats not all its cracked up to be) but it does have a full QWERTY keyboard, a lovely colour display, and loads of useful PDA features. Because its not "mainstream" it can be a bit tricky to get accessories for it. (try buying a digicam with IR transmision for example) but you can get them if you try hard enough. I am a fan of the Symbian OS, and this device has completely replaced my PSION 5MX and Ericson mobile phone with one unit. E-Mail and SMS is an absolute dodle to configure and is intuitive to use, this is an industrial quality, no gimmiks tool which I can recommend. Just as an aside, my friend is a field engineer, who was issued one of these (well its predecessor actually)3 years ago, and uses it to pick up and close his jobs, he doesnt use a protective case and it still works perfectly, the hands free feature is particularly useful, allowing one to consult the PDA, and talk at the same time....still the best. |
