Review: First impressions were very very good with this O2 X1 mobile phone. To look at it you can't help but draw comparisons with Samsung and it even has a rotating 180 degree camera for taking pictures from all sorts of angles, the screen is crystal clear and the ringtones are far better than the ones I have on my Nokia 7250i, feels good, sturdy, nice shape overall very pleasant phone indeed. B U T (and this is a very very big BUT) As a nokia user for over 6 years I knew it would take some getting used to (pretty much all nokia's have the same or similar navigation system) but I was not prepared for just how awkward this phone was to use, simple tasks like creating a txt message or viewing a photo seemed to take much much long than before and it was only a short while after using the phone that I noticed the time and time again whilst waiting for it to do something the screen either totally freezes up or the keypad locks up and the only way to resolve the problem is to remove the battery! I also went onto the o2 website to the setting sent to my phone for sending MMS messages and using the WAP service. Not only did I have to input all the setting manually which took me about 25 mins THEY DIDN'T WORK!!!!! Do not be fooled by this very attractive looking handset NO MATTER HOW CHEAP IT IS!! My opinion is stick with a Nokia and you can't go wrong! This handset is less that useless in my opinion and I wouldn't buy one brand new in the box if it was on sale for 50p. If this is o2 trying to break into the handset market then they really do need to go back to the drawing board this phone has more flaws than features! I returned this phone where I got it 2 days later and got my money back! My opinion if you want a nice flip phone go for a samsung and not a samsung copy like this one. |
