Review Summary: Fatally flawed if you have another DVD player!

Review: This Panasonic DMR-ES10EB-S DVD recorder is a first class piece of kit, but it is fatally flawed. It claims to use pretty well every kind of DVD variation, but... Panasonic for some reason have decided that you will only be able to edit DVD-RAM discs after recordings. Unfortunately, pretty well no DVD players will play these. This means that if you want to hide the adverts on a DVD-R (for e.g.) that you want to use in another player, you are stuffed. Despite this I almost kept it - it's very nice otherwise, excellent picture quality etc... But reluctantly returned it.
