Review: At 17" you might think a bit on the small side. But if it's for a bedroom or kitchen (or what takes your fancy) then it will definately be a complement to the room. A must say I find it stands out from other LCD's I have seen, with a very sleek, modern, silver finish.

Performance wise, the TV can deliver some very impressive images (of course this will depend on the source). But with a good aerial, terrestrial pictures are rich, sharp and vibrant. Got freeview? With an RGB image running through a relatively good scart cable I have experienced some very clear, very sharp images which was much to my surprise. However, if scart is not for you, the TV still leaves you room with an S-Video connection, composite phono in, Left/Right audio phonos in and even a DVI-I socket for those with compatible HD/Upscaling equipment (with a seperate stereo jack connection in for audio).

The stereo speakers at only 2W each are a definite improvement from the likes of a portable CRT mono speaker and such alike. Overall they deliver a good performance. But then I would not expect much more from a TV of this size.

The remote is well laid out, with an array of quick-access buttons, including;
Picture presets (Rich, Soft, Multimedia, Personal and Natural
Sound presets (Voice, Theatre, Music and Personal)
Dolby Virtual and Stereo, plus a Mono/Nicam button as well
Picture format (4:3, zoom 14:9, zoom 16:9, subtitle zoom, super-wide and widescreen)
and teletext buttons

The menu involves a basic (in comparison with more 'home-theater' screens) picture, sound adjustment, tuning functions and various other mini-features. All menu commands use the centre directional keys on the remote and I find navigating a breeze.

To sum up, it's a very well packed TV for it's size, and although it comes with a price it certainly delivers some bang for your buck. It may not have everything, but for what it's made to do, it does very well. And the picture quality, after being so used to CRT definition, has impressed me (and I can be hard to please!) So for this and everything on top, I gave it the five stars.
