Review: I'd say that this 23" Philips 23PF5320 HD ready TV is worth right up to the RRP. Just got it this morning but had a wee play with it. DVD's look great (once I took the sharpness level down a bit), got my dvd player set up through a scart cable. Terrestrial tv signals do look not quite as good as they would if it were a CRT, but that's to be expected, not got it hooked up to Sky or Freeview yet. The sound that comes out the inbuilt speakers is great, cannot fault it. Besides what an earlier review might've implied, this set does not give HD picture to the xbox 360 straight out of the box. You can connect it using the cable that came with the box but it won't be HD, the tv does not have the component connections. This can be fixed by getting an xbox 360 VGA cable and a DVI-I to VGA adaptor. |
