Review: My Philips 26PF5520D HD Ready TV also has a regular fault with the tv freezing when paging through the digital channels. Usually, you can hear the sound but it takes around a minute or more for any picture to appear and during this time it won't accept further controls from the remote. This affects all channels, not just Channel 4, etc, and can get very annoying. Before purchasing my Philips in Dec 05, I had very old standard tv and used a Sony VTX-D800U digibox for nearly 2 years with no problems at all. I bought the Philips tv from John Lewis and asked them about this problem and it appears that it is a fairly common problem across the Philips range of tvs. I was advised that Philips have a problem with their software. You only have to look at the reviews for the Philips DTR200 Freeview Set Top Box to realise this! Shame, as other than this, the Philips 26PF5520D HD Ready TV is a great tv.
