Review: I've found the set up and recording to be excellent on this Philips DVDR3305/05 dvd recorder - using the manual to set up SCARTS, etc., in the correct order is straightforward and the automatic channel tuner can be used and subsequently reordered simply. I've also found recording from terrestrial and Sky to be easy and of perfectly decent quality for watching on a normal TV. However, when editing sections out of a DVR-R+, the machine has simply wiped the entire recording after going into 'recover' mode. Irritating when you just want to clean up the adverts, etc on a film only to find you've lost the whole lot! The machine then says the disc is blank, but if you try to record on it, you're told there is insufficient space... |
