Review: About 2 years ago, I bought a Philips DVDR75, or rather 4 of them since 3 were returned faulty within 3 days. The 4th one worked MOST of the time, but would randomly just pack up with a disk error - I kept having to record stuff on VHS just in case I lost it and then transfer to the DVD. That machine has recently failed so much that I have had to replace it. Like an idiot, I bought this new Philips model, and IT'S FAILED IDENTICALLY TO THE PREVIOUS MODEL TWICE WITHIN A WEEK. PROGRESS!!UNBELIEVABLE!! Philips GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER! (I am using new TDK DVD+Rs and check for ANY dust before use). I am taking this thing back and investing about £100 more on a decent machine NOT BY PHILIPS that won't be just about the most unreliable piece of domestic electronic equipment I have ever had the misfortune to buy. |
