Review: I have some of the same recording problems as other reviewers with the Philips DVDR3305/05 I bought: sometimes the machine locks up after a timer recording and you have to unplug at the mains, sometimes the disc isn't recognised for playback. After having the machine for six months I'd estimate that 1 in 10 recordings fail. This is a high enough failure rate to mean that I've switched back to using my VCR for recording, as I don't want to play "recording roulette" with my DVD recorder for programmes that I'd really like to watch.
I have read the manual, and I've also updated the software from the Philips support site. I actually find the the functionality of the machine is fine - easy to use, and no problem with recording quality .... as long as it works! |
