Review: I decided to ignore the other bad reviews of this Philips DVDR610 DVD Recorder and trust the generally good brand name Philips. It was a mistake. Just like so many others I got a machine full of bugs. Constant on-screen error messages (this is just a big red STOP by the way, nothing to help you track down what the problem may be), lost recordings and eventually total failure. Lasted about 12 uses. Well done to Amazon for an easy and speedy refund.

To be fair, if you are lucky enough to avoid the very common bugs, quality and features were fine - but it is definitely a gamble!
