Review: I agonised for a few weeks over whether to buy this Philips DVDR610 multi-region capable DVD recorder - put off by the early reviews and encouraged by later ones, or the Panasonic DMR E55.
The decision was made when I went to the Panasonic website and found that the main competitor in my short-list appears to be discontinued.
On the other hand the Philips site is full of good info - once you find it.
I am VERY impressed with the quality of the picture and am now sorry I took so long to decide.
The set-up is a nightmare only if you try and follow the instructions. I spent ages over the installation before giving up on the manual and going with instinct.
Magic! Sorted out in a couple of minutes.
Treat yourself - get one.
