Review: This BUG digital radio from Pure Digital is by far and away the most interesting radio in this price bracket. Not difficult when u look at the competition, but still it is a nice radio. I love the pause the radio function, so useful. The fact that it doubles up as an mp3 player is a fantastic little addition, along with the downloadable software that allows u to interconvert prety much any file format. The screen is very clear and displays much more informaion at a glance than many radios. and it is intuitive and simple to operate. Also included is an optical line out and a headphone port, so this radio can be connected to a larger hifi system without its small side letting the side down. However it is not perfect yet. I purchased a standard 512 meg SD card from lexmark but it didnt work, i think this may be solved using the handy firmware updates that the manufacturers release, but when trying to update this windows decided to throw a wobbly and it died, which is irritating. Also the inclusion of a battery would have been very useful, as this radio is not large and is relatively portable. Aside from this the radio is great fun and full of functions, definitely the best buy of the digital radios. |
