Review: I recently had the pleasure of playing Ridge Racer on a Japanese PSP which my local Gamestation was playing around with, and it blew me away. I'm not sure about anyone else, but I was expecting 'ok' graphics that had been overhyped by the press, but it is safe to say that the graphics were frankly awesome!! In terms of gameplay, well I didn't get that long a go I'm afraid, but the one race I did do felt good, and perfectely captured the feel of the older ridge racer games (Ridge Racer 4 springs to mind) All in all, a very strong launch title, that will become a favourite for many when the PSP launches, although i doubt it's good enough to hold it's own when the games really start coming out. |
