Review: This Sharp GX15 mobile phone does not deserve 5/5 by any stretch of the imagination. I have been using a Sony Ericsson T610 for the past year. It has been misbehaving a little bit lately, and the quality of the camera is poor. This is why I upgraded to the GX15. However, I am thinking of going back to using it, as the Sharp GX15 has a major drawback. It's just too loud. Even with all the volumes set to be as quiet as they can without actually being silent, I find myself cringing whenever it goes off. The volume of the "camera shutter" sound effect cannot be reduced at all. This is presumably intentional, to prevent it from being used without the knowledge of those being photographed. I don't want to feel conspicuous every time I receive a message or take a photograph with my phone. I want to be able to set the volumes to the right level, so that I can hear them and preferably no-one else. I am very disappointed with this phone. |
