Review: I have now had this Sony DCR-DVD101E digital camcorder for a couple of months having used analogue camcorders in the past. It is lightweight, easy to use and produces high quality videos. Irritatingly, Sony only includes a DVD/R which is permanent. The replacement discs are expensive (around £10 each for 30 minutes). My tip, if you have a rewriter, is to buy one DVD/RW then copy to a cheap DVD and keep re-using the DVD/RW. Yes, you can edit on the camera but the controls are inevitably tiny. The editing software which comes with the Sony DCR-DVD101E digital camcorder quite good and is easier to use.
