Review: I bought this Sony DCR HC19 last week and all I can say is awesome. Infact, Personal Computer World magazine have given it the Highly Recommended Award in the September 2005 edition. How do Sony do it for the money? It feels like it was built to last for a thousand years!! The picture quality is awesome and it took me one minute to suss out how to use it. It's also very lightweight, small and compact. Gripes? I wish that the view finder could be angled upwards but thats a very minor issue considering the fantastic touch screen LCD display its got. Also the instruction manual is a bit thin on detail and it took me a while to suss out why I couldn't get it conected to my computer (USB is disabled by default!!). Also, no firewire cable is included in the box and you should get one of these - it makes a HUGE difference to the qualty of video tranferred to your PC (and then onto DVD). If you want a decent and relatively inexpenivse digital camcorder then buy this. What are you waiting for? |
