Review: The Sony DCR HC39 is an excellent piece of kit, produces great quality video and descent sound. I havent used the software it came with much but the times i did it does the job ok. Small shame that you cant write back to tape from pc but thast is easily offset by its price and other features, plus its sony. One small annoyance is that you cant switch between mains and battery without the camera shutting itself down, which was fustrating when using the time lapse feature, and also you cant access the tape whilst on the tripod as it loads from beneath, but that problem is on most cameras.
