Review: Bought this Sony DCR-TRV265E camcorder mainly because of the price, I have seen it advertised elsewhere for £330+ so it's a bargain from amazon. Secondly, the features you get for £250 couldn't be better, 20x zoom, LCD screen and hi-fi stereo sound. I have used a friends Hi-8 camcorder before and found the playback to be grainy and often with lines in, much like a VCR playback. Took some footage the other day with this baby, played it back on my TV and was pleasantly surprised to see extremely high quality, almost DVD like video with excellent sound, plus, hook it up to a PC with the USB cable provided and start burning your own VCD's and DVD's. The software provided with the camera is, to be honest, useless, but get yourself a decent video editing software, I use Nero's bundled encoding software, and you can knock together some swanky looking home movies with effects and all. Buy this Sony DCR-TRV265E camcorder and it's £250 well spent. P.S. get some tapes, only thing not included! |
