Review Summary: Not as functional as cheaper models

Review: Recieved my Sony DVP-PQ2 DVD player today, set it up and found it cannot convert ntsc-pal unlike my previous 3 dvd players (goodmans & 2 yamada). This means most of my dvd's will only play in black and white as they are from u.s. and my tv is a few years old. Also cannot cheaply be made multiregion. Shame i didnt do my research cos now i'm stuck with a player that's no use for my dvd collection. Seems ok for pal region 2 dvds though. In my opinion stick with the less well known brands and get alot more for less money, many of these are small enough now to be considered portable and easier shape to carry than this.
