Review: This Sony MZ-NF810 Silver Net MiniDisc Tuner Walkman is a great minidisc player and does exactly what it says on the desription. The quality is top even when on the MDLP function. I found out after purcahsing the mz-nf810 that using an optical lead you can transfer music cd's straight onto your minidisc player from a sony portable cd player. This is great as when my computer is temprementle i can still transfer my music. The radio is quality and so are the recordings from it(It might take a bit of time to get your head round how to record but after reading the manual is quite simple). Appearance wise its cool and the colour is slightly different than on the picture. Its a lighter silver and looks nicer than i expected it to, and nicer than it does in the picture. The only slight problem is that if you want to use the player without the radio attatchment then the headphones are extremely short and you will need to buy some longer ones inless you intend on wearing the player in a high jacket pocket, but any other pockets would make it impossible for them to reach your ears. If you want a minidisc player there is not better one on the market with these great features. The radio, MDLP mode, and NETMD gives it all the added functions you could possibly want. There is a case altough you may want to purchase a more substantial one or one with an armband. (nothing to do with the actually minidisc player but it might be an idea to buy minidiscs that come in a box as they are easy to misplace and it keeps them in order. also remember that the sound quality can depend on the type of minidisc you by and the manufacturor. i have not had a faulty disc yet but a friend had one that just wouldnt let you record onto it. even with the best manufacturors this is enevatble every once in a while.) |
