Review: All i can say that the Sony RDRHX900 DVD recorder with 160GB hard drive is a machine of quality and charm. Lets say it sits in my stack like a jag sits in a showroom. BUT, All that glitters is not gold. It lacks editing features such as dubbing hq from hdd to standard 4.7gh and not having the option to split the title into two, it has an auto function for this a little quality loss ,so always record on HQ+. On tv channel selection through the machine,(ie- tv/dvd on the remote), it monitors in mono, only through the tv playback, you can switch over to direct (tv/dvd remote bypass) and eliminate the problem ((NO BIG DEAL).. One great feature that it records from TV (audio) and decodes into dolby digital (pro-logic),instead of prologic stereo.(positive). What i,m saying even with a rolls or a jag you will always have proz & conz. As a new product its a bit pricey , I got a good deal. BUY THIS MACHINE, ITS WELL BUILT, ITS QUIET AND IF YOU ARE JUST A COMMON USER ,ITS SO EASY TO USE(BY THE WAY THE MANUAL IS ONLY 120 PAGES......... LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG......... Enjoy !!!! |
