Review: Just got Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith for the Xbox the other day. The multi player is great. And the cut scenes are out of this world however, there is a problem. The game play sucks. This is in effect a 3D platform game. The first 10 missions are so easy its stupid and then the boss on the next level is insane. It has taken me about 20 goes to get past him. The action between the characters is sometimes so quick that its just a case of battering the buttons to get a result. During the levels you cannot move the camera as you could say in the likes of Splinter Cell. This means that you are being attacked by things off screen that you cannot see! I have had to restart some of the levels as robots can go though shields in some areas and not come out! This is a big problem as when you have to kill them to move on to the next stage and 1 of them is on the other side of the shield out of range of your force powers you have to wait about 5 or 10 minutes for the thing to come out of the shields. If you have money to burn and you are a Star Wars fan then this is a game that you should certainly consider buying. If not then you should have a look for other games as this game leaves you feeling a bit let down on the game play stakes. It's a shame really as this game has most of the major components needed to be a great, its just a few things that let it down badly. |
