Review: I've grown up with the Beatles' music, but until I started my Film Studies course I'd never seen one of their films. However, when the time rolled around to watch A Hard Day's Night I completely fell in love with it. With instantly catchy songs that you can't help but sing along to (and dance around the room if you've got the opportunity), a joke in every other line and a quartet of sparklingly different personalities that perfectly complement each other (plus excellent support from William Brambell as Paul's grandfather, Norman Rossington, John Junkin and Victor Spinetti) - what more does a film need? If you're a Beatles fan and you don't own this, what's wrong with you?! Get your hands on a copy of it now and revel in the spirit of the most swinging decade ever. |
