Review: The Getaway: Black Monday on the Sony Playstation 2 is the sequel to The Getaway. It has been improved over the original and is now a much more user friendly game. The game is not particulary long and completable well within 15 hours but if you want to unlock everything then you have to collect key rings hidden in the levels which makes it harder to complete.

The control is still not brilliant and so it takes a while to get used to it and the aiming is still not perfect. For example in a shoutout you would automatically aim on a target hiding behing a car when there is one standing right beside you! It is hard to get killed as you can lean against walls etc. and rest. This charges up your health!

There are 22 missions which are split between 3 characters: Mitch (police), Sam (used for stealth) and Eddie. Eddie and Sam are on the same side - the gang type side. There are other modes other than the story mode with its good, film like plot. They are: Black Cab, Race, Chase and Free Roaming. The vehicles and cars used in the game are all real with cars including Brabus (Mecedes tuning company), Renault and Peugeot and weapons featuring the famous AK-47.

In conclusin this is a good solid game and worthy of your money. It is easy enough to play, has offically licenced cars and is set around London with sights including The London Eye and the Underground! I recommend it.
