Review: Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3 has to be one of the really great X-box games,Everything about it slick and very well done the graphics are fanatstic and the sound effects are also top notch. You lead an international elite S.W.A.T team through 14 missions in various parts of the world, Start the mission by selecting your kit do you need flashbang grenades or maybe C.S gas?(dont forget the gas mask!). You play the game in a first person view point(like most shooter games) and lead your team using a simple to use menu system. This game is easy to learn to play and will soon have you smashing through doors to clear a room full of bad guys! you can lean round corners use objects for cover and even slowly crack open doors. A special mention has to go to the graphics as they are fantastic with great lighting effects and shadows( you can even spot bad guys by looking out for the shadows). The game also features some great smoke and fire effects and even things like curtains flap in the breeze, in fact the graphics remind me of the game Splinter Cell (which is a good thing!). The sound effects are great and add to the tension (one level is spent sneaking through a mansion to rescue the owner while some classical music plays on the radio downsatairs!, Also the flash bangs effects are great if your to close! complete with ringing in your ears!. This game is not a First person shooter and if you play it as such you will soon get fed up with being killed! but use a bit of skill and you will really get the most out of it. |
