Review: Generally i really like this Canon A520 camera and find it easy to use - especially since i've been using a canon film slr. Most of the basic functions work in the same way. However, it sucks the life out of batteries at a very high rate! This isn't so noticable when using the preset or auto functions but the thing that most attracted me to the camera was the flexibility you get with the manual function. It allows you to change the shutter speed and aperture size almost to the same extent as with an SLR camera but when using the manual function the batteries barely last anytime atall. I went on holiday recently and got very fustrated with the camera when the batteries only lasted for two days! I'm sure if the camera had its own rechargable battery the problem would be greatly reduced.
