Review: I've had this Canon IXUS 60 camera for just over a week now and I love it!! I used it for our holiday and for a recent wedding and the quality of the photos is excellent! I did lots of researching for the type of camera I wanted and this came out the best, so I went for it!
Good points:
Its small, compact and fits into your pocket easily, I bought the Canon leather case for it as the screen could get damaged? I also bought a 1gb memory card as the one you get is very small and you can hardly take any photos. The 1gb card allows you to literally take hundreds of photos which is what I wanted, I can't remember exactly how many but at least 500? It has a quick shutter speed which is good for those impatient posers! It also has a continuous shooting feature which I used for a confetti shot and it turned out great!Its stylish and I got a few comments about it.
Negative points:
The battery, although it lasts for a reasonable amount of time it doesn't give you a battery flat warning until it is just about to run out ..... why I don't know, this was extremely annoying during a recent wedding as I had to put it on charge before the evening reception. Why Canon can't put a battery meter on the display like other cameras I don't know? So a spare battery is a must?
When you hold the camera its quite easy to press buttons accidently but if your careful it shouldn't be too much of a problem.
Apart from those minor points I can't fault the Canon IXUS 60 camera, its just what I was looking for and I'm really pleased with it. |
