Review: Needed a proper "pocket-size" camera to supplement my beloved Powershot 620 (which is just a bit too big to always carry about). Quality of lens/picture was paramount so I stuck with trusty Canon. I looked at the Ixus 750 - nice camera, but proportions a bit on the large side still. The Ixus 60 was certainly pocket size, with a 2.5" lcd but as the optical viewfinder seems to be rated as a fairly useless one (and I never use the viewfinder anyway, even in sunlight)I decided to dispense with it altogether and go for the larger lcd on the Ixus 65. This camera is an absolute gem: far more stylish than the 60, fits nicely into a pocket or small bag, beautiful screen (but do invest in a screen protector - I would imagine it's very easy to scratch), and takes the usual superb photo that you expect from Canon. I also got the matching leather case which is worth every penny. Overall this Canon IXUS 65 is a fantastic little camera, and my friends are all green with envy. |
