Review: I have had this Canon IXUS 800 IScamera for under a week, purchased on 6th of July. I am very pleased with it and can't fault it in any way.
The optical stabiliser allows you to take pictures in very low light without flash, the equivalent of stopping down two F stops.
Unfortunately, it was dropped and the lens is now broken and in need of repair. The body pannels also are no longer correctly alighned. As of this date Canon have not taught any UK repairer how to repair the lens because it is so new. The official repairer will send it off to Canon to be repaired. Canon don't deal directly with the public on repairs, only marketing, so they can give no estimate of the length of time for, or cost of, the repair.
The Canon IXUS 800 IS is still a FANTASTIC camera. But don't drop it!!! |
