Review: I spent a long time looking for a new digital camera, having had my old one stolen on holiday. I am extremely pleased with my choice of the Canon IXUS 850IS. It is very well made and has a stagering amount of features which you can use or not use - its up to you. The main settings (Manual, Scene, Auto and Movie) have been constructed so that you have varying levels of access to the features from access to everything (Manual) which takes more time but allows you to fine-tune the photos, through to Scene which pre sets the camera for certain conditions such as night, beach etc. Fully auto does everything for you. I generally use the Scenes unless I am trying something different using the manual mode. This is an excellent system and works very well in practice.
