Review: Been using my Canon Pixma iP4300 Photo printer about a month. It produces excellent prints, and to date printed (standard)about 40 A4 and 35 6X4 without changing a cartdidge. The quality of prints is superb, most of my photos (7mega pix)were printed without colour adjustment, just brightness/contrast, plus the usual digital imaging controls, cut and paste, cropping, moving, etc.etc It's a quiet machine compared to my previous, Lexmark, HP, and Brother, and Epson. And fast compared to these printers. All my print paper loading has been loaded via the tray, in front at the base. I have used the CD printing facility, and (provided you use the printable disks)it's faultless. I have not used the Canon software, as most of my work is through a digital imaging software package (not Adobe, I could not re-produce accurate prints using Adobe PS6). Finally, and contrary to some of the reviews, setting-up the printer cartridges and assembly is not straight-forward. So caution here. And when loading the tray, don't forget that when loaded with A4 the tray protrudes about 4" from the front base,so just insert until it clicks. |
