Review: I have just printed the first pictures on my Epson PictureMate 500 printer, and I find that it really is a mate. If you do not need or want to print anything bigger than the average size print I absolutely recommend this item.

I have been in the print industry for 10 years and I am very please with a printer that can turn out this quality. Not only are the prints good, but the cartridge refills are cheap cheap cheap. A six colour system that is as easy as sliding in a VHS tape and that is it. Not only that you can pick up copy cartridges for about £10.00 and at 100+ average prints that is 1p a copy.

I bought a Lexmark 4 months ago for £100.00 and I have thrown it in the bin, 2 sets of cartridges would have cost the same as buying this unit new. The the picture quality was not up to this unit, also the prints came out damp. The Epson system allows you to handle the print straight out the front. (not recommended)

I have other Epson products including a projector and for the price I paid for that I still can't believe the quality of this firm. (I do not work for Epson)
