Review Summary: Very Good Printer

Review: I've used this Epson Stylus Photo 1290S printer for the last 18 months and it has been excellent. I am a keen photographer and use the printer in conjunction with Photoshop 7 for printing images up to A3. I only had a problem once when it wouldn't feed some very thick 300gsm paper. I tend to use the ICC colour profiles supplied by the paper manufacturers (and by Epson for their own papers), so the printer software doesn't have to try and interpret the colours and the results are usually spot-on. Unfortunately the ink is very expensive and the cartridges are chipped so they can't be recycled! This is the only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5.
