Review: Having been fed up of printing photos out on my tired old HP Photosmart 7450 I was fed up of getting pictures that just didn't look good enough to frame or give to people - and was waiting for the right printer to come along at a really affordable price

Well I have it here - everything I could need in the R360. Fantastic quality images, printed quickly on better quality paper (although epson paper is expensive I have found printasia paper made by Ilford is just as good at half the price).

Really simple to use - either connected to a PC or standalone - my 9 year old sister was capable of working it without instruction.

The only downside I can see - its quite a large printer and the cartridges aren't expensive but they seem to be eaten up relatively quickly. A multipack is found cheapest at £33 through amazon.

I did contemplate the next model up (the R800) but after discussing with colleagues - this printer is nearly identical both in statistcs and printed results - the only differences are - the R800 doesn't have a card reader (hence it is not standalone) which the R360 is. The R800 has more expensive cartrideges and costs twice as much. Overall this printer appears so much more versatile and is cheaper all round.

I'm not an easy person to please - but this printer hasnt made me grimace even once! For prints that are hard to distinguish from shop prints - get yourself the R360!
