Review: This Epson Stylus Photo R360 printer is a delight to look at and use. It is finished in dark silver and gloss black to a very high standard and will surely harmonise with most PCs, save, a Mac. The visual focus of the unit is around the sharp LCD display panel which gives clear information to the user through a menu driven system operated by a uni-directional control. The R360 uses 6 cartridges with high durability ink which is designed not to fade and readily copes with all sizes and types of paper. The cartridges (even original ones) are very economical and can be replaced individually, and, unlike some competitors models, there is no need to switch cartridges when printing text and photos. There are built in memory card slots and it is easy to print without switching your PC on. The quality of prints is very high and hard to distinguish from those supplied by photographic shops. Print speed is also fast even in best mode. The software supplied is comprehensive and includes a utility to print directly onto CD/DVDs using the special tray provided. The only slight niggle is that the LCD isn't hinged and if the printer is on a high shelf you have to peer upwards but this is a very slight issue. Overall, the R360 is a very high quality and user friendly printer which represents excellent value. |
