Review: The Epson Stylus R800 has no fancy buttons, no viewing screen, no card reader, only a second rate duplex printing function and all for a pretty hefty sum! But if you're used to £100 - £150 printers and all their gimmicks, try this Epson and you'll be lost! This printer prints photos would you believe! On that count it gets five stars because I can't give it any more. It is expensive to run but genuine Epson consumables are available from Amazon and Ebay which are cheaper although still dearer than compatibles. I find I now make a fraction of the test prints I used to and that reduces costs as well. I bought this printer partly to see how the other half lived and I have to say that, chancellor and stealth taxes permitting, I will not go back to a 'bargain' printer again! |
