Review: I got this Fuji FinePix F31fd camera after reading all the rave reviews about its tremendous low light capabilities. The camera may well be very capable in this area, however, a few things led me to to return it. Firstly, the lens makes a very annoying loud noise when focusing, much worse than any camera I have ever had (mostly Canons). The build quality is not really up to the standard I have seen with Canon, the mode dial seems slightly wobbly and liable to break and the charging/USB cover also seems flimsy. The other problem for me was the camera was the size and shape - I just didn't find it easy to hold at all and combined with the slippery hard metallic casing I was pretty sure I would end up dropping it. I have now got an SLR which I find much easier to handle. |
