Review: I can't say how disappointed I am with this Fuji FinePix S9500 camera. I bought it as an upgrade to my Canon Powershot S2 IS, and I cannot believe how poor the quality of the pictures is.

It is supposed to be a 9MP camera, but even when the pictures are reduced to 20%, the noise distortion is dreadful. The pictures are fuzzy, ill defined and grainy - even in good light. Don't even ask about the much-touted ISO 1600 setting.

Far from upgrading my excellent Canon, I have bought a camera that produces shots that are barely an upgrade from shots that I take on my cellphone.

In general the camera feels very insubstantial and plasticky.

Don't waste your money on the Fuji FinePix S9500 unless your expectations are very low indeed.
